Ask somebody out

Today’s phrasal verb is ask somebody out.

When you ask somebody out, it is somewhat romantic.

It means that you want to go out with that person for you to know her or him more or you just want to spend the time with that person.

For example, ‘Jean, I know a very interesting place and I’d like to invite you to experience that place with me. Do you like to go out with me? We could have our dinner there.’

In this example, the man asks Jean out to see an interesting place to know her more.

So usually, the purpose of asking somebody out is to go on a date, be entertained or to have fun at a certain place.

How about you? Who do you want to ask out and why do you want to ask that person out?

Okay, I really appreciate having had this opportunity to share this lesson with you.
